A lot of the older taonga that we have, which are our taonga tawhito, actually span back to the likes of….you’re looking at, at least, seven to eight hundred years old. Now how we are sort of aware of those taonga …when our tūpuna first arrived here from Hawaiki, they brought with them what the Europeans term as rectalinear form. With rectalinear form, is that that was a strong sort of a whakaaro, that was alive and strong in the Pacific. Basically everything is sharp, its got really hard corners, it has a lot of serrated edges, and so a lot of the taonga that…well not a lot, but we do have some examples in our collections. To be specific to your question, it’s really difficult, it would require the likes of CSI to come in and do some major analysis, which we can’t afford. Kia ora.
