That’s an excellent question, I knew that question was going to come up. In regards to taonga that come from the Northland region, they number in the hundreds. I can’t give you specific on the hundreds. They hail from as far up as the likes of Te Rēinga, through to Te Kao Panguru, my own territory, right down through to Kaitaia, Dargaville… a number of areas. In saying that…the majority of Northland taonga are actually stored at the Auckland Museum.
