Kia ora tātou. I thought what we would do today was really talk about the actual voyage of those two peoples those two groups of people, to Aotearoa. And I thought we would begin by talking a little bit about the incredible voyages that the ancestors of Māori, the Polynesian peoples, made to come to New Zealand.

So what we are going to do is start looking at the site. We will begin at a sort of home page called The New Zealanders. And what you get on that page is a choice of whether you go down the route of looking at Māori New Zealanders or looking at non Māori New Zealanders. You then have a choice of looking at all the different iwi on one side, and on the other side you can look at all the different immigrant groups. And underneath you will find a whole lot of little entries all about the context and the story of how people got to New Zealand.
