Richard:
These are what you drive your radio control car or radio control aeroplane or your brothers, sisters, cousins have them as toys. Well, we use them for driving our puppets, 'cause inside our puppets we use the same servo motors to drive the mechanisms.

So this is a head of yeti that we've built for something that we're doing of our own. You can see if I move those, if I move these levers around, they're controlling the servos that make the lips move and if I move these around you see how it creates the brow movement.

Now we'd hide Gino's eyes by painting his skin the same colour as the skin of the puppet… [Can you open your mouth?]…

And so through very simple linkages of the servos, we can create these movements in this creature's head.
