This is the thing, it’s very easy to kind of feel disconnected from all this, but little choices about the TV set at night, do you leave that little red dot on, so you can switch it on with one push of the remote control, or do you switch if off at night, and then you switch in on again the next evening? That can lower your electricity output. If you lower your electricity output, there is less fossil fuels burned to generate it. It’s sometimes about walking somewhere rather than going by car, you know it’s all the simple things which are very easy to think don’t make much difference, and you are right, each of them only makes a little bit of a difference, but all those little bits of a difference added together make an enormous difference.

And it’s not about, “Well that might be a nice idea,” or, “That would be good.” It’s going to be coming home soon, make no mistake about it. The world….by the time you lot are my age, teachers are exempt from this I’m afraid, by the time the rest of you are my age the world is going to be a difference place. And there will be changes in the economy, we are running out of oil, we have got changes in terms of the environment, we have to take account of these things, otherwise I’m afraid it’s all going to end very, very badly. The good news is we still have enough time to change things.
