Because we are a Duffy School, can you tell us how reading helps you in your life and your career?

Reading is really important because you know you’re lost from the start if you can’t read. And you know if you think about just how you woke up this morning and whether you, I mean for an adult there’s probably pills that you may have had to take for a cold or something; stepping out into the bus stop and reading the bus timetable; even if you are driving to work or to school you need to be able to read your road signs and understand, and before even that you need to pass your, get your license some way by reading your exams and things.
So reading is really important if you want to experience what the school has to offer. And it just creates for me, reading just creates a time where I can take a rest from everything that is happening around me, and just indulge myself into the world of books and read about other people’s lives and it just creates a different perspective of life if you enjoy the books that you read. For me I’ve always enjoyed reading my bible and that has always been a key book in my life, and yeah, it’s fantastic.
