Linda what did you learn in your netball career that has helped you in your career, career?

Being able to work with different people. Netball has always involved getting out there as a player and appreciating all the sponsors that assist you, because without our sponsors and I guess all the volunteers that are around helping out, netball probably wouldn’t be the sport that it is. And so, within Books in Homes and with my job at AUT its just being able to communicate with people and know what makes people tick. But not only that, having the contacts that will be able to assist you later on in what ever you sort of pursue in life, because it’s always great to have that network of people that you can fall back on to sort of assist you along the way. And also it creates…..you are always going to meet great people, and its always neat to have them as your mentors to fall back on, and to help you out in your job.
