Linda now that you are a coach do you have the opportunity to work with the team you are taking to Miami, and extend the mentoring role with them in areas of their lives out of the netball training?

Yeah definitely, I mean that’s the whole idea when the job was offered to coach Samoa, I actually only wanted to work with the young girls, the under 21s, and I guess the whole idea was to eventually be able to build them up to the senior team and sort of carry them along the way. We’ve been really fortunate the young ones…..a couple of the young ones that we have worked with have made the Silver Ferns and I’ve lost them now to New Zealand, but in saying that you know, at least I can still work with some of the young girls and hopefully build them up to represent either Samoa or New Zealand.
