Larry Reese
On 14 February 2005 New Zealand Symphony Orchestra Principal Timpanist Laurence Reese (Larry) participated in a videoconference with three secondary schools from around New Zealand.

Larry performed with several overseas orchestras including the London Philharmonic before joining the NZSO in 1998. He was also a member of Global Percussion, a Baltimore-based trio that recorded Balinese gamelan and African percussion music.
Larry is a graduate of the Juilliard School in New York and the Royal College of Music in London and is both a timpanist and percussionist. He is a visiting professor at Victoria University of Wellington.
