Adam:

Good morning everyone, my name is Adam Newell, I own a restaurant in Wellington called Zibibbo. We’ve been there about 7 years, I’ve been in New Zealand about ten, after working and living in the UK mainly, and we serve good Mediterranean food at Zibibbo’s, very simply. The Michelin Star thing we will talk about a little bit later, which is quite interesting, but at Zibibbo’s we keep it simple.

Pauline:

My name is Pauline Nunns and I am a tutor at WELTEC in Petone, Wellington. I have been tutoring, pretty much, for the last 5 years. But I come from a background... I’m originally a chef, and then I had a love of pastry, especially eating it, and I’ve sort of progressed from there. My forte is probably cake decorating; its something I do a lot of. But anything pastry, anything with butter and eggs and sugar, that is what I do.

Christina:

Hi everyone. I have just finished a course at WELTEC. We had our final exam yesterday, and I am currently working at a restaurant called Logan Brown in Wellington. I am working on the pastry section at the moment, so I’m mostly doing desserts, which is really fun.

Jay:

My name is Jay Woodhams and I just finished my course. I’m in the same class as Christina. We had our big exam yesterday, so it’s a bit of a relief to have that over. I am currently looking for a job. There are plenty of opportunities so hopefully I will find one soon.
