Question:
How far down do you go?
Donald

It’s hoped to go that 1400 meters. The plan is 1400 meters. If you look at the website, at that image I’ve drawn, I’ve drawn that in proportion. The blue is the sea, the white is ice shelf, and the layers of rock are below. And yes, in my diagram I’ve tilted the rocks, you can probably see the orange sloping, and the yellow. Great thing about geological maps is that you can use whatever colour you like. And through those sloping rocks down to a change at about 1200 meters. If we can get that rock out that will be an incredible achievement. And that’s why five nations are actually working together on this, and 150 scientists. It’s a big international drive to do this. No one country can do it.
