Māori Weaponry

On Tuesday 26 June join our videoconference with Te Papa’s senior programme developer Erana Hemmingsen and special guests Tamara Tihi (Ngai Tuhoe) and Mark Ormsby (Waikato) in a discussion about Māori weaponry. This videoconference will be presented in English between 10:00 and 11:00am and in Te Reo Maori between 11.30am and 12.30pm and is suitable for both primary and secondary aged students.

  • Some simple patu and taiaha disciplines
  • Stories about some male and female Mäori warriors

This is an interactive videoconference so Erana, Tamara and Mark look forward to the students’ questions about any of the content covered during the videoconference.
