Jonathan Mane-Wheoki, The Director of Art and Collection Services at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, will be conducting an exciting video conference about Art at Te Papa. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn, see and discuss the art at Te Papa. This digital conversation coinsides with the opening of Toi Te Papa – Art of a Nation.
Toi Te Papa – Art of the Nation is Te Papa’s new flagship art exhibition. It captures the richness of New Zealand’s artistic heritage – Māori, European, Pacific – in a diverse range of artworks drawn from Te Papa’s impressive visual arts collections. Occupying all of Level 5, Toi Te Papa offers a memorable and thought-provoking journey through the nation’s distinctive art history.
