WordSpace: Reviewing

Join David Hill and Nick Bollinger in a discussion about reviewing. WordSpace is a series of videoconference discussions between secondary school students and leading New Zealand writers, brought to you by the New Zealand Book Council and CWA New Media. To participate, your school will need to be a member of the Book Council.

The session will consider questions like how much of a review should be informative and how much should be personal opinion, how do you tailor your review to its audience, and what assumptions can you make about their prior knowledge. The writers will also talk about their personal experiences of reviewing within a small writing community like New Zealand’s.
