‘Matariki’ for students and teachers is scheduled from 10 to 11am and will be presented in English.

‘Matariki’ in Te Reo Māori is scheduled from 11.30am to 12.30pm

Join us for one or both of these informative and entertaining sessions with Erana Hemmingsen who is the Senior Programme Developer Te Pae Arahi Hōtaka Māori, at Te Papa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand.

At Te Papa, Matariki is celebrated with a rich and varied festival of music and dance performances, as well as lectures, storytelling, and entertainment. The focus of the 2006 programme is the art of weaving.
