Champion rower Rob Hamill

On Tuesday 15th February, join our video-conference from 1.30–2.30pm to talk with

World record rower Rob Hamill

Rob Hamill rose to international attention when he smashed the world record for the Atlantic Rowing Race in 1997 with rowing partner Phil Stubbs.

41 days, 2 hours, 55 minutes, 14kg of body weight and a lot of chocolate bars later, Phil arrived in Barbados.

Not one to sit still, the former Olympic and World Championship rower was a part of the next two winning Atlantic campaigns and set a World Record for indoor rowing.

He is now involved in organising rowing events such as The Great Race and the trans-Tasman Bridge to Bridge Challenge, as well as appearing as a motivational speaker.

Join our video conference to talk to Rob about:

  • overcoming obstacles
  • how he prepares for different challenges
  • rowing techniques and training tips
  • believing in yourself and
  • what it was really like on the Atlantic Ocean.
