NZSO Principal Timpanist Laurence Reese

Larry has performed with several orchestras including the London Philharmonic prior to joining the NZSO in 1998. He was also a member of Global Percussion, a Baltimore-based trio that recorded Balinese gamelan and African percussion music. Larry is a graduate of the Juillard School in New York and the Royal College of Music in London and is both a timpanist and percussionist. He is a visiting professor at Victoria University.
