Presenter Ryan Inglis and actor Katie Brockie
DATE: Friday 26 November
TIME: 1:30pm - 2:30pm
Squirt is a children's show hosted by Ryan Inglis and Spike T. Penguin which screens on TV2 Saturdays 8.30-10am.
Squirt features high-tech computer graphics and animation and makes use of 'motion capture' technology to bring Spike, Newt and Pivot to life. This is combined with laid-back, humorous dialogue, zappy and interesting stories from around New Zealand, and the latest cartoons.
Ryan Inglis (21) is the 'token human' on the show. He joined Squirt in its ninth year, fresh out of University where he studied Communications. "Talking to a penguin for a living might seem a bit strange, but I really look forward to recording the shows and I have a blast with the rest of the Squirt team."
Katie Brockie has been working in children's television for 15 years. She was a professional puppeteer for several years prior to that. When Katie left school, she trained as an actress, then later fell in love with puppets and puppetry. She also writes and edits scripts, and works as a field director for Squirt.
